Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Monroe Johnson

Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Monroe Johnson, age 94, of Luttrell went home to be with Jesus on December 23, 2024. Bobbie was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. Most everyone knew her from her many years of substitute teaching within Union County Schools. She was loved by all. Although she did love to travel with her boys, sisters, and nieces, she resided in Union County all her life. She enjoyed singing and family get togethers.

Preceded in death by her parents, Elvin John Monroe and Lenny Carr Monroe; husband of 68 years, Raymond Johnson; loving companion, Wade Miller; sons, Bobby Ray and David; sisters, Edna, Edith, Trula, Susie, and brother, Junior; daughter-in-law, Rosemary. She was the youngest of all.

Survived by sons, Terry and Danny (Carla); many grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Special mention, Dyane Lody; daughters-in-law, Cathy and Joni. Special friend, Wanda Byerly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12 – 2pm with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive with Rev. Charlie Tindell officiating. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tyler, Ray Trent, Matthew, and BJ Johnson; honorary pallbearers will be the nephews.
