Ann Barnett Long

Ann Barnett Long, age 91, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. She was born in Lawrenceville, PA on March 13, 1932. Her Mother, Mary Ann Barnett, passed away when Ann was 5, she was raised by her beloved Aunt Annabelle and Uncle Hugh Wynns in Dickson, TN. Ann attended the University of Tennessee of Knoxville and Memphis where she met her husband, Henry. She was a lifelong member of Laurel Church of Christ, where Henry served as a Deacon. She was a member of several Knoxville Garden Clubs as well as the Sewing Club and entertained extensively. She was a member of the Women's Cotillion and Junior League of Knoxville. She enjoyed planning trips and traveling with her many friends. She was a business owner, spending a lifetime buying and selling antiques.

Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life, Henry Long; cousins, Vivian and John Collier. She is survived by her children, Ann W. Long, Henry Long Jr., Travis Long, Mary (Joe) Thomas, Douglas Long; granddaughter, Sara Thomas.

The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Shannondale and Storypoint.

A graveside will be held for Ann on Friday, August, 18, 2023 at 1pm at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3-5pm at 8125 Laurel Falls Lane, Knoxville, Tn 37931.
