Nathan’s influence and impact is so much greater than he knew - strong, driven, independent, funny, smart, handsome and athletic. He was filled with integrity, empathy and goodwill. He was polite and respectful and cared deeply for his family and his close-knit group of friends. To know Nathan is to love Nathan.
An honours student and a highly involved member of the school community at Laurel Heights Secondary School in Waterloo where he was in grade 11, Nathan loved participating with his close friends in the Electric Vehicle Club and had plans of becoming an engineer.
Nathan has been a dedicated member of the competitive gymnastics team at Revolution Gymnastics for the past decade. He also recently completed his coaching certification and enjoyed being a mentor to the young athletes at Revolution.
At his cottage on Bruce Lake, he loved the water and warmth of the sun. He loved to gaze at the stars and take late night dips in the lake. Last summer he built an incredible stone fire pit that family and friends will continue to gather around in his memory.
Nathan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his parents, Lisa and Scott Sibley; his older brother, Gavin Sibley; grandparents George and Lilli Sibley, Louise Cyr and Gary Rose; his aunts, uncles and cousins, including Vicki Sibley and Ray Genereaux, Shari and Jim White and their son Shayne, Christine and Cade Morse and their children Olivia, Jackson and Griffin, and Leigh and Jim Culley and their daughters Sophie and Ava and by his many dear and cherished friends and all those he touched in the community.
Nathan’s family welcome friends to join together for a Celebration of Life at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m., with sharing of memories at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Jack.org. Friends have also set up a campaign on GoFundMe.com - keyword ‘Nathan Sibley’.
