Wonderful mom and friend to her children Reg (Lynn), Ron (Diane), Linda, and Judy (Bill 2018). Margaret will also be missed and forever loved by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Predeceased by her parents, husband Frank, brother Henry, daughter Helen and grandsons, David and John.
Born in Kitchener in 1924, at the Station Hotel, to Swiss immigrant parents, Henry and Elsa Hug. Margaret grew into a lovely, elegant woman who was a dedicated wife to Frank for 66 years.
She raised her children with love and a wicked sense of humour. Margaret was a wonderful cook and fantastic baker. She enjoyed yarn crafts, sewing and watching figure skating in her spare time.
She worked for many years as a pharmacist’s assistant at Tower’s department store in Waterloo until her retirement.
Margaret was a patient and loyal support to her own parents later in their lives.
Cremation has taken place. A family gathering will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre.
