He leaves behind his heartbroken wife Amy Germs of Kitchener, ON, loving parents Donald and Jo-Anne Graham of Toronto, ON, dear brother Craig (Karen) Graham of Taylorsville, Utah, loved niece Kaylee Graham of St. George, Utah,14 devoted aunts and uncles and their families, and many cherished friends.
Joey was a funny, compassionate, generous man who will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors and his desire to learn. We will miss his larger-than-life laugh and his thoughtful conversations, and we will all cherish our relationships with him with pride. The strength and courage he displayed fighting mental illness was an inspiration to everyone he encountered. He found comfort and peace at times, but was never able to fully extricate himself from some inner turmoil, which was always partially hidden to those around him and which medicine could not cure, counsellors could not quiet, and our affection could not adequately soothe. Sadly, his pain became overwhelming.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Joey's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Waterloo Regional Police Association Recreation Centre, 1128 Rife Rd., Cambridge. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Homewood Health or your local mental health association. Arrangements entrusted to Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900). Online condolences at www.westmountfuneralchapel.com
