Serran, Helen Mary (Waechter) - Passed away peacefully at Westmount Long Term Care on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in her 91st year.
Predeceased by her husband Martin (1989), her parents Fernando and Mary Jane Waechter, sibling Edward (in infancy), Elaine (George) Van de Water, William (Virginia) Waechter, and her nephew Tony Waechter.
Helen was a long time employee at Mutual Life. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Westmount LTC for their care over the past eight years.
Visitation will be held at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. on Monday, February 5 from 10 – 11 am with a service at 11:00 am. Burial at Woodland Cemetery with a reception to follow back at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
