Sadness today as we just learned of Brenda's passing.  We were fortunate to have her influence in our young daughter's early learning and I still today see so much of her teachings shine through. Our sympathy and love from our family to yours.

God placed her on this earth.
She migrated to Canada from Guyana,
the land of her birth.

She was a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother
an aunt, a grandmother, a cousin and a remarkable friend
She was an educator, a caregiver
She was always, 'her brother's keeper',

She had a clear vision of who she aspired to be
So she persevered to make her dream become a reality
She pursued every task with a sense of responsibility,
and accomplished her goals with so much pride and dignity
that she became her family's role model- a woman of integrity.

She spent several years with us
toiling from dawn right into dusk
she worked hard amongst us all
then suddenly, she heard the call.

She did not cry out
She didn't even complain
She remained optimistic
Yet, she must have been in pain.

Then one day the 'Father' above
looked down on her with love
He whispered and called her name
He said, "Brenda, I know you're in pain
Your work on earth is done
Come, join me in Heavenly Kingdom".

Brenda rose to that call on a Sunday
HE alone watched her as her breath gently faded away
Now she's gone on to a well deserved rest,
