On March 6, 1959, Allan married his beloved Jane (Jean), and together they built a life full of love and family. He is survived by his two children, Elaine Finlay and William Finlay (Karen), as well as his cherished grandsons, Bradley (Marina) and Mitchel (Cheyanne). Allan was also deeply connected to his extended family, including his East Coast stepfamily, David and Kim Carron, and their children, Jack and George, as well as his step-granddaughters, Emma (Alex) and Taylor (Tiho).
One of Allan's greatest joys was his role as a great-grandfather. He adored his great-granddaughter, Paisley Jane Finlay, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his great-grandson, Walker Finlay.
Allan courageously moved his wife and children to Canada on January 13, 1963, seeking to provide them with a better life. A proud member of the Orange Lodge #1331 in Guelph, Ontario, he dedicated over 60 years to the organization and served as a Past Deputy Master of the Grand Lodge of Ontario West. Professionally, Allan worked as an electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local 804 in Kitchener.
Allan's love, dedication, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place.
