Ron was born in Orlando, Florida on September 1, 1982 at 10:11AM, with a head full of spiky brown hair. His parents were instantly in love. As an adult, his Mom continued to call him on his birthday at exactly 10:11AM to sing to him, it was their special thing.
From an early age Ron loved playing baseball, and showed an interest in all things car related. His Dad was so delighted that they shared this passion, and Ron grew up working at his Dad’s auto body shop, State Auto Body. In 2011, Ron went into business with a dear friend of his, and they embarked on opening Orlando Auto Body, in Orlando, Florida.
Ron met Nikki in 2003, and they immediately began their family, welcoming Ron’s princess, Brooke in July of 2004. Next came Ronnie Jr. in September of 2005, and then the baby of the family, Brantley, in 2011. Ron’s wife and children were the absolute loves of his life, and he worked hard to provide a life of security, laughter and love until the morning of September 9, when he was tragically taken from us.
Anyone who had the fortune of meeting Ron would describe him as loyal, trustworthy, hard-working, and a caring family man with the gift of a wonderful sense of humor. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation, and he was the first one to volunteer to help someone in need. He will be missed beyond measure for the rest of all of our lives.
He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Nicole, and children: Brooke, Ronnie, Brantley, his parents, Ron and Annette, his Grandma Rose, and siblings: Rhonda, Robin, Shannon and Kasey, his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Barger, and his favorite cousin, Tom, whom we lost to cancer on August 31.
Ron: we love you, and we all miss you so incredibly much.
