John was married to Patricia for 66 years and had five children - John (Geralyn), James (Carol), Christopher (Debbie), Robert (Kristie), Linda; nine grandchildren - Adam, Shannon, Laura, Robert, Joshua, Jacob, McKenna, Gracie, Sara; one great-grandchild Kenden.
John served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1954 on the U.S.S. SEIVERLING DE-441, during the Korean War, where he was a Machinist Mate.
John worked for Hercules Machine Tool & Die from 1956-1985, where he worked in a variety of jobs including Die Maker, Die Leader, Purchasing Agent, General Foreman, and Tool Co-ordinator.
John was a Pillar of three Catholic Churches -
St. Athanasius in Roseville, MI from 1958-1988. While there John served in various activities and was a member of the Men's Club. John was also named "Father of the Month";
Basilica of The National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, FL, from 1990-2006, where he served as an Usher;
St. Faustina Catholic Church in Clermont, FL from 2006-2022, where he served as an Usher and in other various activities.
John was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
John and Patricia retired to Florida in November of 1988.
John and Patricia worked selling souvenirs for Walt Disney World and ushered baseball games for the Kansas City Royals spring training for 14 years.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, card games, and gardening.
John will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery near Bushnell, Florida.
