Charles H. Horne, 85 of Davenport, passed away on June 30, 2015. Charles was born on May 7, 1930 in Kingsland, GA to Clifford and Mildred (Georg) Horne. Charles served in the United States Army, and worked as on operator for water waste management. Charles also had a love for fishing.
Along with his loving wife Reba N. Horne of 22 years, Charles is survived by his mother Mildred Horne and his children Kristopher Horne, Clifford (Carol) Horne, Tom Horne, Karen (Roy) Whitney, and Terry Johnson. He is also survived by his brother Elwood Horne, his sister Mary Elizabeth (Wilbur) Kelly, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great Grandchild. He was preceded in passing by his father Clifford Horne and sister Sara (Paul) Leonard.
The Horne family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements for Charles have been entrusted to Grissom Funeral Home.
