Dorothy was predeceased by her husband James in 2005, her parents, William and Emma Fieldsend, her brother Arthur (Audrey) Fieldsend, her sister Mary (Peter) Shumski, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Elmer Atkinson, Hazel (Wilbert) Chambers, Bessie (Charles) Johnson, Eva (Walter) Spiess and Roy (Joan) Atkinson.
Dorothy is survived by her three sons: Denis (Ellen) Atkinson, Sherwood Park. AB.; Floyd (Cheryl) Atkinson, Regina, SK.; and Neil (Roseanne) Atkinson, Spy Hill, SK., her grandchildren: Kyla Atkinson; Eric (Grace) Atkinson; Kris (Sonia) Atkinson and their children Anthony and Kiana; Laurel (Gage) Huber and their children, Hailey and Bryce, one sister-in-law, Gladys Atkinson, Vancouver, BC.; as well as her nieces, nephews and their families.
