Thelma Hubbard Key, 91, passed away December 25, 2014 in Humble, TX. A native Houstonian, she was born October 8th, 1923, and graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1940. She married Travis W. Key on May 2, 1942, who passed away November 13, 1979. Also preceded in death by mother, Jennie Regar Hubbard, father, Max Burt Hubbard and sons, Michael Key, and Timothy Key. She worked for both Shell and Humble Oil in the 1940s and for Houston ISD from 1981-1991. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and volunteering in both church and local schools. “Family, faith, the beauty of nature, and baking for those I love are the joys of my life. My wealth is the many friends whom I love dearly.”

(Larry) Key, wife Bonnie & grandson Ivy of Stuart, FL; Jennifer Key Manning, husband Lee, grandson Kyle Manning of Humble, TX and granddaughter Kelsey Manning of Austin, TX; grandchildren Christina Key Conway & husband Jon of Minden, LA; Emily Key Moore, husband Tim, and great-granddaughter Zoey Moore of Springfield, MO; daughter-law Beverly Frost and grandson Tim Key, Jr. of Pasadena, TX.
There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. located at Kingwood First Baptist Church, 3500 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood TX, 77339.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund or Missions Fund of Kingwood First Baptist Church.
