Marilyn was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 10, 1961. One of four children and the middle sister of three, she enjoyed the opportunity of travel at a young age as the daughter of a USAF pilot and his dedicated wife, attending several different elementary and middle schools across the US before graduating from John Marshall High School in San Antonio in 1979.
A Class of ’83 Texas Aggie, she shared her excitement for learning by challenging students in the Houston area to master mathematics. Highly regarded for her dedication to her students, elementary and high school students alike looked forward to attending her classes.
Her hobbies included scuba diving, body-building, massage therapy, bicycle racing, woodworking and raising multiple pets. Always generous with her time, people recognized the value of being called Marilyn’s “friend”.
In 2000, she developed a passion for photography that focused clearly on her son and his activities. As portrayed by the photos in her home, she surrounded him with loving friends and family as he played football, karate, baseball and soccer all the while developing character through Cub Scouts and the Catholic Church. Her greatest tribute is the well-rounded, courteous young son that she leaves behind.
