Leon Edwin Weddle, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Kingwood, Texas on September 7th.
"Lee" Weddle, son of Rudy and Edna Weddle is survived by his loving wife Sally and four children, Kim, Susan, Tom and Scott. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Navy, Pacific theater during World War II. He loved to be in the outdoors enjoying fishing, hunting and playing golf with his family and friends. He was well respected not only by his family, but by both personal and professional friends. We are reminded of Proverbs 22 Verse 1: "A good name is more desirable than great riches; To be esteemed is better than silver or gold." We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
There will be a visitation at Kingwood Funeral Home, Sunday, September 13th, 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Services will be held at Houston National Cemetery in their chapel on Monday, September 14th at 10:00 AM.
