Judy Marshal Shaver

Judy was born on June 5, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas to Thomas Raymond Lewis, Jr. and Nellie Lewis. Judy was a long-time resident of Beaumont, Texas, but later migrated to the Houston area and was currently living with her husband in Conroe, Texas. Judy graduated from Beaumont High School in 1964 and went on to work for companies like Ideco, USPCI and Entergy where she made life-long friendships.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; Son, Kyle Denson; sister, Susan Cordray and nephew, Barry Cordray.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Hugh Shaver; daughter, Kristen Pitman and husband Stephen; Granddaughters, Alexandra Irving and husband Nick Segura; Brittany Bradley and husband Mark; Grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Denson; brothers, Robert Lewis and Thomas R. Lewis, II. and wife Carol; Nieces, Ginger and CJ; Nephews, Michael Lewis and Richard Cordray and wife Shannon; Great Niece, Kirby Cordray and Great Nephew, Truman Cordray; Family friend from childhood, Charla Hemme and husband Dennis were like family; 6 great grandchildren and a host other relatives in Louisiana.

Judy was a fighter and was ready to battle this cancer, but God had other plans, so she was spared of further suffering. She will have a special place in Heaven for all the animals she rescued. She had the biggest heart and could not bear to see any living creature suffer or be mistreated. She was an advocate for all living beings. Judy was incredibly generous and would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Judy enjoyed traveling with her husband and grandchildren around the country. She lived for taking her grandchildren to Disney World and many camping excursions. Judy reveled in God’s creations that brought her true peace. One of her favorite pastimes recently has been sitting on her porch with her daughter watching nature and discussing future plans for her Fairy Garden. Judy will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Judy’s name to your local animal rescue.
