Dolores is predeceased by her mother, Gladys Merle Russell Drabek; her father, William George Drabek; and her brother, William J. Drabek.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband Robert K. Stoddard, Jr. of 47 years. They were married in Plano, Texas on July 12, 1975.
Dolores is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracy Lynn Gray of Spring, TX; her daughter, Karen Michele Mennen and Tim Rogers of Cleveland, TX; her grandson, Brett Aaron Mennen of Huntsville, TX; her granddaughter, Amber Michele Mennen of Cleveland, TX; her sister, Mary Katherine Nahay and husband Ernest “Buddy” Nahay of Dripping Springs, TX; her sister-in-law, Genene Walker of Phoenix, AZ; her nephew, Mike O’malley and wife Lynda and family of Warner Robins, GA; her nephew, Christopher O’malley and family of Cedar Park, TX; her niece, Elizabeth Drabek and family of Roswell, NM; her nephew, David Drabek of Gillette, WY.
Dolores was born in Crowell, TX on April 21, 1948. She graduated from Loretto Academy, a private Roman Catholic high school in El Paso, TX in 1966. After graduation, she was accepted into American Airlines Student Stewardess Training in Dallas, TX. Dolores worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas until moving to Kingwood, TX in 1975 to be a stay at home Mom and raise her children.
Dolores was also known as “Dee”, Mama, Grandma Dee and Aunt Dee-Dee and was loved by everyone she met. She loved raising her daughters, helping her daughters with school work, and spending time taking care of her family. Dee loved watching her daughters and grandkids sporting events, dancing competitions and school events. She never met a stranger in her life! Dee had a heart of gold and was always there for everyone, no matter what and whenever she was needed. Everybody could talk with her, come to for advice, be the shoulder to cry on, be the one to make you smile and laugh even on your gloomiest days. She loved to travel to small towns and shop in the local antique stores. She loved playing games with family, going to Bingo, and playing video poker at the casino. Dee lives on through her family, loved ones and friends.
A Memorial for Dolores will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339, with a reception from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity, in Dee’s name.
