Carole Ann Quinn

Carole Ann Quinn, 73, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 19, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts and lived in the area until she was married in 1969. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, John E Quinn Jr, her daughter Meghan Hadjioannou and her husband John, her son John E Quinn III and his fiancé Sara, her grandchildren George, Clara, and Jack, and her sister and brother, Susan Carnathan and Richard Mulcahy.

In 1969, Carole graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Special Education. She taught for over 30 years in Hawaii, Pennsylvania, and Texas. In Kingwood, she was a teacher at Good Shepherd Episcopal Preschool as well as St. Martha’s Catholic School. Carole had a passion for education and cherished her time in the classroom with her students and colleagues.

Carole was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. On Sundays you could find her in the same pew, worshipping alongside her friends. She enjoyed her time serving on the Altar and Flower Guilds. An avid reader, Carole also helped lead the book club at Good Shepherd. Carole was always creative at heart. Since her retirement, she was involved in the Kingwood Garden Club. Creating flower arrangements and gardening were two of her passions. She filled her home with music and love. And in the afternoon, you could find her sketching out on the back porch and enjoying her gardens.

For Carole, spending time with family was her greatest joy. You would often find her preparing Sunday night dinners, watching her grandchildren in their activities, or catching up with her children over a cold glass of Chardonnay. She was an expert at creating wonderful moments for all of us, which will now become cherished memories.

The Memorial Service for Carole will be held in Kingwood at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 AM. Flowers are welcome. They were one of Carole’s favorite things. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, a place very close to her heart.
