Alma (Tenant) Heslop

Alma Tenant Heslop was 96 years old at the time she went to sing among the Angels. Her recent address was Kingwood, Texas, where she resided for several years. She passed away on the 11th of April, 2024 at her residence after a short illness. She was born on the 21st day of March, 1928, in Donie, Texa. Alma was the daughter of Alexander Jasper Tenant and Evie Elizabeth Allen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Heslop; father, Alexander; mother, Evie Allen and brother R.d. Tenant.

Those left to mourn are Melanie (Heslop) Bankston and husband John, Georgia Gernandt, Walter Gernandt, Jerry Neel and wife Carol (Brown), Genoyce (Neel) Yates and husband Andy, Ann Elizabeth (Heslop) Zibrat, Margaret (McCann) Gernandt and Marjorie (Short) Galloway.

Alma worked in the accounting field and retired from the Houston Federal Credit Union after 25 years. Alma liked to cruise down the Mexico way, which she did several times. One cruise was through the Old Panama Canal, which she enjoyed very much.

A visitation for Alma will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339. A committal service will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
