Edward Moore McConnell Jr.

Edward Moore McConnell, Jr. of Riviera, TX, passed away in his home on March 24, 2013. He was born October 9, 1943, in Topeka, KS, to Twila and Edward McConnell, Sr. As a youth, Ed was very active in sports and his community. He was an Eagle Scout. During high school, Ed was Kansas State High School Tennis Champ. He attended Kansas State University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering. Ed was a well- respected Petrochemical professional for 31 years with design and management services provided across the globe from Los Angeles, CA, to Melbourne, Australia. During his free time, Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and playing cards.

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jackie McConnell; his sons, John E. and wife, Debra and Michael W.; grandchildren, Kevin A. and Gracen K. Ed was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Moore.

A Memorial Service will be held at Riviera United Methodist Church, 207 E. Cypress Ave., Riviera, TX, on Saturday, March 30, 2013 @ 10:30 AM.

Arrangements are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville.

Ed will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rest in peace, Dad!
