Paul J Bledsoe

Born September 22, 1936

Departed this world and joined his Savior in heaven on May 25, 2023

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillard and Charmie Bledsoe, stepmother, Lucinda Bledsoe, brothers, Wayne and Jerry Bledsoe, and son-in-law, Mike Meade.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Beatrice Bishop Bledsoe, and his daughter, Michelle Meade McCloud; brothers Ralph (Jo) Bledsoe, Hoyt (Phyllis), Mike (Kathleen); sisters Stella Bureen Evans (Don), Debbie Bledsoe Burchell, sister-in-law Phyllis Bledsoe and many special nieces and nephews.

Paul served in the Army as a young man. He worked at Foote Mineral, Penn Dixie Cement and Mead Paper.

After retirement he enjoyed working part time at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home.

He was a member and deacon at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church and later at Homeland Baptist Church until he resigned his position due to declining health.

Paul’s testimony and servant’s heart were lived out everyday to family, friends and anyone he met through his generosity and compassion.

He was a great husband, an adoring father, loving brother, a solid friend, and a good man. He is forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
