Oscar D. White, 84, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born August 18, 1937 in Kingsport, TN, where he established his roots and resided until his passing.
Oscar had many life accomplishments, including being a preacher in his early years, spreading God’s word. He also became a member of the U.S. Military, being a Korean War Veteran and Army Reserve, Company C 844th Engineer Battalion. He took great pride in cooking and serving his crews and country. Oscar became an employee of Anderson Ford, now Fairway Ford, for 54 years. He loved his job and the family he has made there and was still employed at the time of his passing.
Oscar was a force of nature and he enjoyed collecting and golfing in his spare time.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, provider, companion, friend, and mentor. Oscar lived his life to the fullest and helped anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. What a great loss for us but a wonderful gift for God.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 24, 2021 at 3:00PM at East Lawn Memorial Park with Larry Bledsoe officiating.
