Joyce Ann Trent

Joyce was, one of 11 siblings, born into the Goodman family on July 14, 1943 in Johnson City, TN. Joyce lived in Kingsport and she married Mr. Gary Trent on June 8, 1977, and after 38 years of a wonderful marriage and a lifetime of memories, he survives.

Joyce loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and great aunt. She cherished every moment with them, and she devoted her life to them. Raising her family and being a living testimony for her Lord and Savior were her utmost priorities in life.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, James and Muriel Goodman. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Gary Trent; two sons, Micheal and Charles; one daughter, Gina; six grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Chapel at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor David Salley officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life III with Charles Greene, Micheal Greene, Cecil Necessary, Adam Fugate, Damian Sturm, Christopher Evans, Coley Greene, and Jonathan Morelock serving as pallbearers. Keith Morrell will be serving as honorary pallbearer.
