Mrs. Jimmie Lee Greene, age 87, peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2015. Mrs. Greene was born January 5, 1928 in Kingsport, TN to the late Mr. John Roller and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Fugate Roller. She was a woman of strong faith and was a charter member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. She retired from the United States Post Office after 27 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Sunday dinners, singing in the choir, and serving faithfully in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Greene; son, Gary Greene; and her parents, John and Elizabeth Fugate Roller. Survivors include her children, Eddie and Phyllis Greene, Johnny and Virginia Greene, Linda Wagner, Cathy Greene, Dwight and Phyllis Greene, Gayle and Ken Epperson, and Becky and Derrick McGlothlin; her grandchildren, Tony, Mark, and Lori Greene, John and Aaron Greene, and Liza Hern, Ryan Wagner, Gina Bellamy, Sarah Patton, and David Bellamy, Jennifer Shields, Jerica Smith, and Amity Vance, Mykah Duke, Michael Duke, Syndee Debusk, and Kylee McGlothlin and their spouses. She was blessed with 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, for a total of 50 grandchildren who she dearly loved. Her surviving sisters and brothers include, Betty Jo Scott, Kate Christian, Jessie Mae Richardson, Fred Roller, John Roller, and Roy Roller. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Kingsport, Tennessee. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. immediately following visitation in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Graves officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Tate, Matthew Smith, Kapan Ray, Ryan Wagner, David Bellamy, and Dusty Debusk. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Tony Greene, John Greene, Mark Greene, and Aaron Greene.Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of the Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Wexford House and Amedisys Hospice who lovingly cared for her and the family and friends who came to visit and spend time with her.
