Gary C. Wells

Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 23 years, from November of 1964 until his retirement as Senior Chief Petty Officer in December of 1986. Following his military retirement he worked as a boiler technician at Quebcor. He and his wife Barbara were also owners and operators of Freedom Firearms in Kingsport.

Gary loved his wife, family, and country immensely. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nadine Reed and father Fred Wells, son Bruce Hallows, sister Charletta Smith, brothers Richard Mullins and Lloyd Wells.

Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 25 years, Barbara Wells, two daughters Wendy Wells and Belinda Wells, three stepchildren, Robert(Bobby) Mullins, Rebecca Mullins and Beth Mullins. Eight grandchildren Lindsey Mullins (Ben Stoddard), Jason Stinson, Jacob Gilliam, Seth Mullins, Haley Gilliam, Kurtis Gilliam, Breann Wells and Dallas Hedrick. Three great grandchildren, McKinley and Kaiden Stoddard and Luna Wells. Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday February 16th 2024 at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park 4997 Memorial Boulevard, Kingsport TN.
