Frank lived a long and beautiful life. He loved God and his family. He was employed as a rural letter carrier with the Kingsport Post Office for 40 years. Frank enjoyed storytelling, family, gardening, farming, and traveling. He was a lifelong member of Kingsley United Methodist Church.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Elbert & Annie Blanche (Howard) Ketron; two brothers, Fred Ketron and Jack Ketron; and one sister, Ruth Gibson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Betty Lou Ketron (Potts); sons, Frank Ketron Jr & wife Judy and Don Ketron & wife Cathy; daughters Pam Ketron Darnell & husband Charles and Penny Ketron Miller & husband Mike; his loving grandchildren, Ashley Stanley, Andrea Black, Kristen Ketron, Megan Ketron, Molly Ketron, Rebecca Darnell, and Jacob Darnell; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday (August 13, 2019) from noon to 2 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Amos officiating. Frank will be laid to rest on Tuesday (August 13, 2019) at 3 p.m. in the Garden of Love at East Lawn Memorial Park.
