Elizabeth "Betty" Glover

Elizabeth “Betty” Glover, 94, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was born on July 19, 1920 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received a BA from Belhaven College and taught school in Jackson, Mississippi. She married Clyde Glover in 1944. She had been a resident of Kingsport, Tennessee, for over sixty-five years. Mrs. Glover was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Glover. Survivors include two daughters, Caroline Glover and Martha Ann Glover both of Kingsport, TN. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Glover will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 12:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Goddard officiating. Private Burial will be held in the Garden of Apostles of East Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Friends of the Kingsport Public Library, 400 Broad Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
