Bandy Gerald Rose

Bandy Gerald Rose, 79, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the morning hours of Saturday, March 2, 2024. Gerald was born on November 1, 1944 in Squire, WV to the late Bandy and Freda Idell (Alley) Rose.

Gerald was a dedicated member of Bible Way Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Rosebud Trucking for over 30 years. Beside working, he enjoyed fishing, camping and eating a good home cooked meal. He loved his family and spending time with them, but most of all he loved the Lord and talking to people about the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Lou Rose; and brother: Ronald Rose.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: son: Richard Gerald Rose and wife, Sarah; two daughters: Collett Bowman and husband, Stephen and Priscilla Grinstead and husband, Jeremy. 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 12 noon until 2:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Rick Vanoy and Bro. Richard Rose officiating. Entombment will follow at 3 PM in Mausoleum II at East Lawn Memorial Park.
