Annie Mae Cross

Annie “Ann” Mae Cross, age 92 of Blountville, entered into the glories of Heaven on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Ann was born on June 26, 1924 in Washington County, VA to the late John Moore and the late Cora Lee Sproles Moore. On January 16, 1942, Ann married Mr. Hugh Cross, and after sharing a beautiful life together, he preceded her in death in 1995.

Ann loved life. She loved working puzzles and quilting. Throughout her life she sewed unbreakable threads of love that continue on in the life of her family and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Hugh; son, Billy Cross; and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Delores Frazier and husband Donnie; Grandchildren, Melissa Knicley and husband Isaac, and Christine Bise; great-children, Amanda Wooten, Joshua Bise, and Jeremiah Bise; great-great-grandchildren, Austin Wooten, and Mason Wooten; and her cherished dog, Lucy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of the Apostles.
