Shirley J. Theodorski, age 88 of Buckley passed away August 29, 2018 at her home. Shirley was born November 11, 1930 in Holt, MI. to Niles and Arlene (Tincknell) Brooks. On August 20, 1949 in Holt, she married Royce Theodorski.
Together they had purchased property in 1970 in Buckley, MI., and moved there after she retired in 1993. Shirley had worked as a Union secretary for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed being up north and enjoyed nature and feeding the birds, especially the hummingbirds.
She is survived by her children Gary (Diane) , Michael (Carol), Leslie, Sharon (Craig Temple) Ottersen, Janelle (Jim) McIntyre, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchild. Also surviving is one brother Doug Brooks. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Jack and Dave and a daughter in law Diane.
The family would also like to express their deepest appreciation to Shirley's neighbor, Justin Whitman, who took exceptional care of her. He was truly a guardian angel sent to their family.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from the Covell Funeral Home, 200 N. Brownson Ave. in Kingsley, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Sherman Mesick Cemetery. There will be a funeral luncheon at JK Whispers Café in Buckley immediately following the services.
