Sean P. Palmer, 49, of Dix, died at Kimball Health Services on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Cremation has been held and services will be held at a later date. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Sean’s Tribute Wall and leave messages of sympathy and stories for the family. Memorials may be given to the family. The services for Sean have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Sean Patrick Palmer was born in Loveland, Colorado on September 27, 1968, the son of John and Patricia (Swazey) Palmer. He lived and received his early education in Loveland. He moved with his family to Dix, Nebraska and then to Casper, Wyoming where he graduated from high school in 1987. He moved back to Kimball and worked in the oil field. Later he moved to Minatare and worked as an electrician for Western Sugar. Sean then moved to Maryland and did wiring for companies doing new construction. Then he moved to Greeley and worked in the oilfield for over 15 years. He moved back to Dix in 2008 and continued working in the oilfield until going to work for Larry Miller in 2015 doing construction. Sean loved fishing and camping. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything. He also enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors include his parents John and Pat Palmer of Dix, NE; daughters Amber Yonkin of Greeley, CO and Tosha Yonkin of Hagerstown, MD; brother John Mendez of Minneapolis, MN; sister Lynnette (Daniel) Cape of Broadwater, NE; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt Gwen Scheenen and cousins Kirk Scheenen and Lori Wynne.
