Roger Eugene Brooks, age 80, of Killeen, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. He was born on April 9, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating high school he joined the United States Army where he had an outstanding career.
Roger met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Hardeman. They were married for 31 years.
Roger had a distinct honor bestowed upon him by having a Prince Hall Lodge and Consistory in Western Europe named after him. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, Past Commander In Chief, Worshipful Master, and Past Joshua. He also was a lifetime member of VFW 9191.
Left to cherish Roger's memories are his sons Victor Brooks (Angela); Cedric Brooks; Anthony Brooks; daughter, Felicia Edmondson; 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Hardeman.
A Celebration of Life Service for Roger will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home.
