He was born on July 26, 1956 in Mineral Wells, TX to Martin R. and Sheila Mary (Waylen) Neault.
Being in a military family, Paul attended primary school in Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia until graduating from Copperas Cove High School with the class of 1975. After finishing his military service in the US Naval Reserve, Paul earned a business degree from Central Texas College and began his career in management with the HEB Grocery Company. He served as a store director in Austin, Killeen, and finally Copperas Cove where he oversaw the transition to a new location for that city’s store where he continued to work until his retirement. Never one to just “sit-around,” Paul then began a second career with the Bell County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher and stayed until he retired once more.
Paul and Bong Hayman were united in marriage on April 25, 2014 at their beloved St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. He and Bong loved to travel and they visited many countries, but considered the trip to the Holy Land as their favorite.
Paul was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus and had a passion for serving his parish community in any capacity he could.
He was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Sheila, as well a grand-niece, Fiona Ainley.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife Bong, stepsons Jason Hayman (Lisa), John Hayman, Paul’s siblings Patrick (Mary Lou), Teresa Pearce (Randy), and Peter (Cindy), as well as grandson Brandon Hayman. There also many cherished nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Paul.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, November 8 at St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights. A visitation and Rosary will take place the previous evening Tuesday, November 7 from 6:15 - 8pm.
