Jim enjoyed his family and he played golf, square dancing, wood carving.
He joined United States Air Force in 1949 and retired in 1969. He was an air Traffic Controller for 43 years.
Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn of 66 years, Sons: Steven and wife Dana, Derk, Jeffrey and wife Piper.
Grandchildren: Jeff, Kellie, Brittany, Lindsey, Courtney, Emily.
Sisters: Shirley, Pat, Melba, Judy, Jean
Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with a visitation at 11:30 a.m. prior to service.
Burial will be with Full Military Honors at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
