SHE MET AND MARRIED CLARENCE DAVIS BLOOMER ON 27 MARCH 1964 IN TARRANT COUNTY. TOGETHER THEY WERE PARENTS OF THREE CHILDREN. THEY ADOPTED TWO OF THE CHILDREN. THE OLDEST CHILD WAS BORN TO EMMA PRIOR TO THEIR MARRIAGE. SHE WAS AN ARMY WIFE. SHE SUPPORTED HER HUSBAND DURING HIS TOURS IN VIETNAM, GERMANY. THEY RETIRED FROM THE ARMY AND SETTLED IN KILLEEN, TEXAS.
EMMA WORKED FOR CIVIL SERVICS DIRECTORIATE OF LOGISTICS, FORT HOOD TEXAS OVER 20 YEARS. SHE RECEIVED MANY COMMENDATIONS, HONORS AND AWARDS FOR HER SELFLESS SERVICE. IN 2003 SHE RETIRED FROM CIVIL SERVICE TO CARE FOR HER HUSBAND. SHE REMIANED BY HIS SIDE THROUGHOUT HIS ILLNESS UNTIL HIS DEATH 0N 14 JUNE 2003.
EMMA LOVED TO COOK. SHE WAS KNOWN TO COOK ENTIRE MEALS AND FEED CO WORKERS DURING LUNCH. SHE TOOK PRIDE AND JOY FEEDING EVERYONE. THERE WAS NO STRANGER WHEN SHE COOKED. ANOTHER HOBBY SHE ENJOYED WAS FISHING ON LAKES. FAMILY TIME DURING LONG WEEKENDS WAS CAMPING AND FISHING. IF SHE WASN’T COOKING, FISHING THEN SHE WAS TAKING A BUS TRIP TO THE CASINO. SHE ENJOYED PLLAYING SLOTS MACHINES. SHE WAS ONE LUCKY LADY WHEN IT CAME WINNING AGAINST THE MACHINES.
PROCEEDING HER IN DEATH WERE HER PARENTS, HER HUSBAND, SIBLINGS, AND A GRANDSON.
SHE DEPARTED EARTH ON 19 MAY 2021 AT 1030. SHE LEAVES MEMORIES TO THREE CHILDREN, DOROTHY BLACKWELL OF TACOMA, WASHINGTON; PATRICIA THOMAS OF KILLEEN, TEXAS; CHRISTOPHER BLOOMER OF HUTCHINS, TEXAS; SIX GRAND CHILDREN, EIGHT GREAT- GRAND CHILDREN, AND FOUR GREAT- GREAT GRAND CHILDREN AND A HOST OF NIECES, NEPHEWS, AND ONE SISTER -IN- LAW ETHEL BAPTIST OF CORSICANIA, TEXAS.
