on Thursday May 21, 2015. She was born March 6, 1924 in Hamburg, Arkansas to William Frank Strangways and Rosalind Peacock Strangways.
She married James M. Garvin Jr. in 1946.
She is survived by her husband James M. Garvin Jr. and three children, James M. Garvin III of San Antonio, Fred D. Garvin Sr. and his wife Linda of Killeen, and Theresa Garvin and her husband Frank Bullard of Killeen, five Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren.
Anna and her husband James (Jim) lived in Killeen for over 40 years after Jim retired from the U.S. Army and they started their civilian life. Anna retired from Civil Service where she worked as a secretary for
Darnall Army Hospital Dental Clinic.
Anna was preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister and three brothers.
There will be a private family viewing on Monday May 25th, at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home and a graveside service on Tuesday May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the Patriot Guard Riders of Central Texas and mailed to Crawford Bowers Funeral Home at 1615 S. Ft. Hood Rd. Killeen, TX 76542.
