Alicia Aguilera Ochoa Lopez was born into everlasting life on November 23, 2024, at the age of 59. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and her loss will be felt forever. Alicia was born on January 22, 1965, in La Aurora, Durango, Mexico. She lived in La Aurora for 6 months with her parents and older sister before moving to the Pantex/Dumas area in the panhandle of Texas. Her father was a farmer/laborer and in 1970 her family moved to Spearman, Texas. She graduated from High school in 1983 and worked at Thriftway until 1984. On February 16,1985 she married her High School Sweetheart Paul Jr. In September of 1986 their oldest daughter Erica was born in Borger, Texas. In May of 1988 their family of 3 moved to Ft. Stewart, Georgia where they were stationed due to the ARMY. They were then moved to Baumholder, Germany; Ft. Bragg, NC; and Ft. Sill, OK. In between those moves Paul was stationed in Korea and went on several deployments and Alicia and Erica moved to Canyon, Texas to be closer to family. While stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma Paul and Alicia welcomed their second daughter Emily in April of 2002. Alicia was a huge advocate for education and enrolled in class every opportunity she had. In 2005, Alicia graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors degree from Cameron University in Human Ecology and Psychology. Their final move was to Harker Heights in 2013. Alicia worked in a variety of school districts during their moves and took a special interest in helping students with disabilities and learning how to read. She was a patriot. She loved plants, flower gardening, reading and the Texas Longhorns. She was a member of St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father Martin Ochoa Sr. and her mother Jovita Ochoa. She is survived by her husband Paulino Lopez Jr., their daughter Erica Lopez and her wife Kami Crane of Leander, TX, and Emily Lopez of San Marcos, TX. Alicia is also survived by her sister Amadita Vargas and her husband Jose I. Vargas of Spearman, TX, their daughter Maria Isabel and her husband Malachi Dodson of Spearman, TX. Her sister Pat Ochoa of Canyon, TX and brother Martin Ochoa Jr. of Canyon, TX. Her brother Pete Ochoa and his wife Maribel, their son Anthony and his wife Crystal, and their daughter Briana of Amarillo. Her sister Maria Carbajal and her husband Luis and their sons Nicholas and John Paul of Spearman, TX. Alicia is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 6 PM to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX 76542-1654. A Requiem Mass will occur Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:AM at St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic, 1000 Farm to Market 2410, Harker Heights, Texas 76548.
