Resident of Noatkamegwanning First Nation passed away October 22, 2024 at Lake Of The Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario, with family by her side.

Rachel is predeceased by her parents Rhonda Paypompee and Dwayne ‘Porky’ Kelly. Maternal grandmother Rosaline Cowley, great-aunties Isobel Cowley, Mary Cowley, Francis Kabestra, Elsie Kent, Margret Gauthier, great-uncles Jack Cowley, Pete Cowley, Jimmy Cowley, John Cowley and Percy ‘Punch’ Gauthier. Uncle baby boy. Cousin-sister Mary Jane Gauthier. Paternal grandmother Alice Kelly, grandfather Albert Cowley, aunties Jessica and Vanessa ‘Beesha’ Kelly, cousins Travis ‘TJ’ Kelly, Alley Powassin and Shayna ‘Chubbo’ White.

She is survived by her children, Zaiden & Kandace, Peyton and Michale, her partner Kingsley White, father Blondie Paypompee, grandpa Freddie Cowley, brother Nazharee, best friends Billie and Diana, uncles Everett ‘Gomer’ (Aretha), Douglas ‘Moddy’ (Cindy), Derek ‘Boinch’, her aunty Anne ‘Annie’ Henry (Carl). Charlotte White (Maynard) and family. She is also survived by her “lots of cats”. Cousins, family and friends, too numerous to mention.

Raych enjoyed her metal music, her favourite band was Children of Bodom, and brother band BSB. She also liked dance music because she loved to dance & entertain. She loved watching her children, nieces and nephews dance powwow. She enjoyed doodling with her son. She loved watching her uncles, cousins and nephew play hockey. She was a WFB Preds fan since their debut. She loved her bannock dogs, it was her favourite snack. Her favourite shows were keeping up with the Kardashians and Friends, she would rewatch those shows and her brother would call her a “low life” to make her laugh. Most of all, she loved hard, she loved her children dearly and would protect them with everything she had. She loved being aunty to all her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies were going to bingo and coming back home saying “never again.” She was also a competitive player at cards, dice and board games.

Her smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

Wake services will be held on October 26, 2024 at 1:00pm at Peshinob in Noatkamegwanning. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 with Elder Leslie ‘Wasay’ Copenace leading the ceremony with burial to follow.

Pallbearers will be Mario, Everett, Naz, Scott, Jordan, Manny, and Thunder. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kandace, Billie, Diana, Megan, Courtney, Sydney.
