Courtney leaves to cherish her memory, her soul mate Harold Brun Jr. ; her children, Jaxson and Brooke Brun; Her grandmothers, Caroline Flett and Kukom Linda Skead; dad, David Skead (Olive); mom, Lori Wavey (Nathan); brother, Mathew Skead; sisters Antonie Skead and Caylie Personius; uncles, Clarence Flett (May), Jeremiah McDonald, Nathan Doudiet (Vickie); aunts, Lisa Cook (Drake), Dawn Treleaven; nieces, Caitlynn and Kimmy Skead; mother in law, Valentina Herbert; sister in laws, Loni and Victoria Brun; step sisters, Skyler and Cloe Wavey; extended family too numerous to mention and her friends especially those she called sisters.
She is predeceased in death by her grandfathers, Clarence Flett Sr. and Donald Treleaven.
Courtney was a loving and compassionate person who loved being with family and friends, laughing and telling stories. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She was fiercely protective of all those she loved and always had their back.
Courtney loved reading, doing things with her children, her pets that she called family and working towards what she wanted for her family. She loved taking her children for walks, swimming with them, taking them to Tinker Town and the zoo. She loved spending girl’s day with her daughter Brooke, doing makeovers, facials and posting them to the amusement of her immediate family. Courtney always kept herself busy, teaching herself how to sew and bead, and enjoyed her shopping trips, equally enjoying thrift store shopping or at expensive boutiques. They would spend time playing video games or watching family movies complete with popcorn and snacks. Courtney enjoyed watching shows about medieval times and also enjoyed watching scary movies.
The relationship she had with her brother, Mathew, was not like any other, her twin for five days. They enjoyed teasing each other finding memes where they would poke fun at each other. They spent a lot of time together with their children.
Most of all she loved and adored her children, they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Courtney wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Courtney was 33 years old when she came to the end of her journey.
There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathy, love and support that everyone is offering during this time of sorrow and pain.
