Barbara Mary Walduck

After a courageous battle with lung cancer Barbara Mary Walduck (nee Stickney) passed away on June 29, 2020 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 58.

She leaves behind her children Mattaus (Samantha), and Kendra (Torin), her brother Larry (Wendy), and her dearest friends Wendy Seguin, Debby Jack, and Mel Osudar. She is now reunited with her parents John and Mary, and her brother Al.

Barb was born in Rossland, BC, grew up in Courtenay, BC. She eventually moved to Kenora in her early 30’s. She worked as a Financial Services Manager for many years in both CIBC, and BMO, until her retirement in November of 2016. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed nothing more than sitting out on her deck and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. Barb enjoyed the company of her friends and family, and loved the brief time that she was able to puppysit little Jasper. Neighbours will fondly remember Barb walking her boyfriend’s (Roland) very large dog Bernie Bear.

A Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held privately at a future date. In honour of Barb, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
