Andrew Robertson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Andrew Robertson, aged 90, of Kenora, Ontario. Andrew passed away at his home on December 21, 2023. Born on January 12, 1933, he was the beloved son of Warrender Henderson Anderson Robertson and Isabella Taylor Robertson.

In the 1950s, Andrew arrived in Kenora on a quest to find his brother, a journey that introduced him to both a fulfilling career and family. He began working for Minnesota Pulp and Paper, dedicating 39 years to the company before retiring as the Controller for the Woodlands Division of Abitibi. His dedication to his career was a reflection of his overall approach to life, living with integrity and a deep commitment to his family.

His marriage to Agnes Jean in 1958 blossomed into 65 years of shared love and respect. Together, they created a nurturing home for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, instilling in them values of honesty and kindness.

Andrew leaves behind his daughter Lorna, son David (Janice), grandchildren Jessica and Jackie, and adored great-grandchildren Lucas and Amelia, along with a deeply valued bond with Matt, their father. Predeceased by his son, Andrew Jr., and siblings John, Margaret, Warrender, Arthur, Kenneth, and Laurence, his legacy of love and strength will forever live on in our hearts.

The Robertson family extends heartfelt thanks to the first responders for their professionalism and compassion. Respecting Andrew's wishes, there will be no formal service. His life will be remembered and celebrated in the hearts of all who knew him, honoring the remarkable journey he traveled.
