It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving father, Mr. Allan McDonald.

He was a resident of Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.

Allan started guiding for KCR-CAMP at the age of 14 and was there for numerous years and in the fall he would work for the Wabaseemoong Band as a contractor.

He loved to play baseball and hockey in his younger years and was given a nickname (Slapshot Al).

He will be sadly missed by his special friend Eva Sakchekepo, his daughters Bertha (Joseph), Melanie (Adrian), his stepsons (Keith) Amy, Michael Scott, his sisters Agnes McDonald and Mary Savoyard, his great granddaughter Haylo Jamieson and Allariah Boyd & Aalyiah Cameron, his grandsons Keenan & Treyton Boyd, his granddaughters Destiny, Harmony, India, Brielle Boyd, Toya Muckle, Avery, Valentina Scott, Alana, Fayla, Freedence Bunting, Keianna, Luluh, Keiyarrah Scott, Asiah & Aiden McDonald, and a little girl he talked about and loved Lucinda Muckle, his nephews John, Patrick Savoyard, Guy, Frank McDonald, his nieces Eada, Madeline McDonald, Melody Bryant (Tim), Kandace, Carl, Dani Bryant and Vanessa Savoyard, Darryl, Elmer Savoyard, great nephews Murphy (Tiff), Mario (April), and niece Rachel McDonald. Step father of Dean, Dale, Darren and Dawn.

Allan always spoke about his extended Bigblood family whom he loved, too numerous to mention.

Predeceased by his parents, John Savoyard (Shoont) & Maggie McDonald, his common law Brenda Savoyard, and his step father William McDonald, his grandsons Ethan and Noah Scott and Baby Boyd & Allan Boyd, his daughters Christine & Valentina Scott, his nephews Harold & Alvin McDonald, his sister Bertha McDonald, nieces Doreen & Sarah McDonald, his great nephews Kevin, Rodney, Kaylon, Tyrone McDonald. Allan will also be missed by many other extended friends and family.

Wake Service will be held from Sunday, May 19, 2019 – Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School with Traditional Funeral Services starting at 11:00 a.m.
