Clara “ Ruth” Godwin, age 77, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Rev. Michael Smith and Rev. Don Mason will be officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, March 2, 2014, from 4-7 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Mrs. Godwin is survived by her husband Ray Godwin; stepson, David R. Godwin; stepdaughter, Diana Godwin-Skehan; grandchildren, Joseph “ Connor” Skehan and Chelsea Danielle “ CD” Skehan and nephew Greg Carlisle. Her surviving siblings include: sisters , Mary Henderson, Viola Manley, Dorothy Parks, Linda Redd, Bonnie Willis, Connie Kasinger, all of Owensboro, KY. brother, Billy Alsup, Dallas, GA.
