Roxie Ann Satterfield

Ms. Roxie Ann Satterfield, age 52, of Fruithurst, AL., formally of Smyrna, GA., passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Ms. Satterfield was born on March 5, 1965 in Marietta, GA., a daughter to Mr. Neal Greenway and Mrs. Frances Rebecca Brawner.

Ms. Satterfield received her Medical Assistance Certification following her high school career and worked in the medical field for many years. She later went on to work as a Carrier for the United States Postal Service and also was a school bus driver for a short time in her life. Roxie loved being outdoors, from working in her flower garden, camping, to even hunting from time to time. She was a devoted member of Beulah Baptist Church in Muscadine, Alabama, where she served faithfully in any area that she could. Roxie loved and lived life to the fullest, always giving more than she took, and always putting others needs above her own. If you could ask Roxie she would easily tell you her greatest joy and accomplishment was being a mother to her two children, and being a grandmother to her grandson. Roxie was a very loved lady and she will certainly be missed by all who knew her.

Ms. Satterfield is survived by her parents, Neal Greenway, wife Margaret, of Fruithurst, AL, and Rebecca Brawner, husband Billy, of Kennesaw, GA.; two children, Michael Benedict of Acworth, GA., and Kymberly Satterfield, fiancé Jhonathan, of Bremen, GA; two grandsons, Alex Machado and Leo Ensley; a sister, Susan Stephens and husband Ricky of Kennesaw, GA; niece, Jami Johnson and great-niece Makenzie Vliek; a step-son Stephen Ensley; and extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Roxie Ann Satterfield will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, July 24, 2017 with Rev. Bill C. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation with the family will take place from eleven o’clock in the morning until the time of service on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the funeral home.

The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers, Britt Gunter, Steven Kirby, Lamar Simpson, Jake Hilderbrand, Matthew Mimna, and Chase Gunter.
