Roger Keith Moore was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 12, 1952 to the late Margaret Bailey and Lonnie Moore, and passed away on May 19, 2021. Roger was a loving and devoted husband to Mrs. Sherry Moore of 51 years. Together the two had a beautiful life that they shared. Roger was an involved parent, granddad and great granddad. He had a love of sports and a competitive spirit. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer. His favorite sports were baseball and football and he also spent many years coaching youth sports. Roger imparted his wisdom to the young men he coached and taught them that the games were as much about the mental preparation as they were about the physical talent.
Roger is survived by, his wife Sherry Moore. They shared two children, Kelly Moore and Kevin (Shannon) Moore. He leaves behind his siblings Ronald (Patty) Moore, Darrell (Sherry) Moore, Debbie (Sonny) Russell, and Arlene (Tim) Dove. He also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Chance Benson, Christian Moore, Kasey Moore, Hudson Moore, Brody Moore, Cooper Moore, and Dylan Moore. He also has 1 great granddaughter, Bailey Mae Moore. His family shall carry his legacy on forever.
Roger was preceded in death by father Lonnie Moore and mother Margaret Bailey Moore.
A celebration of life gathering for Roger will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, Kennesaw, Georgia. A celebration of life and memorial service will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 4:00 PM, Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel.
