Robert Franklin Thompson age 82 of Acworth died Monday. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Interment 3 pm Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Macon. Family will receive friends from 5 pm till 8 pm Friday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
Born in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Thompson was the Radio Operations Manager for Lockheed Martin retiring in December 2011 after 58 years of service. He graduated from Georgia Tech in Electrical Engineering and from Emory Law School. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed hunting in Monroe County.
