Robert John Kiely Sr., age 80 of Marietta passed on August 02, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, August 06, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. He will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Robert was a highly decorated US. Army veteran, having done 2 tours in Vietnam and earning 3 Bronze Stars. He was an Airborne Red Rigger and retired from the Army after faithfully serving for 28 Years earning him the rank of CW4. Robert went to work with the IRS after his military career and retired from the IRS after 15 years. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Kiely. He is survived by his sons, Robert J. and wife Melani Kiely Jr, Thomas A. Kiely Sr. and wife Anna Woo; daughter, Kathy Kiely and husband David Roquemore; grandchildren, Mitchell Kiely, Nathan Kiely, Tommy Kiely, Alyssa Kiely, Sheldon Kiely, Kristin Roquemore, Michael Roquemore; great grandchildren, Hunter Kiely, Jaydon Kiely, and Jordyn Kiely.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 05, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
