Richard Irving Ray

Mr. Ray served in the United States Army and was a New York State Correction Officer for 30 years. He loved working in his yard and spending time with his family.

Mr. Ray will be reunited with his father, Nelson W. Ray Sr; his mothers Mabel Reed Ray and Iva Cooper Ray, his siblings Verna Ray Stamper, Rosamond Ray, Nelson Ray Jr, Howard Ray and his youngest grandchild Madison Ray. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Florence Ray; daughters Kimberly and Tracey; granddaughter Taylor E. Johnson; and grandsons, Jordan T. Higgs, Joshua R. Higgs, Nicholas T. Johnson, Justin R. Higgs, Nash J. Johnson; and his sister Maudena Hayden along with his nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor the life of Richard Ray will be held at Kennesaw United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Dr. Diane Parrish. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
