Hi Mom,

Even since your anniversary, i have been more at peace. It is not that i "let go", but accepting the fact that you are no longer physically there. It takes time to fill in that void...not because i want to, but because i have to. I need to be emotionally available for my wife and kids....plus this is what you demanded of me, so i'm just following orders :-) 

Before i make any decision, i think back on what you would say and also i go before God and ask for His help also...just like you taught me. Thank you mom for giving me a solid foundation to build upon. I still miss you though:  i miss you laugh and your advice and your jokes and your sense of humor. I look forward to hugging you again, although my time is not yet. God has given me 3 boys to raise and take care of....and a wife to support and love.

Hi Mom,

It's been a year since you left us. It still hurts, but the pain is less piercing. I realized after i "spoke" to you and to God that my heart is no longer broken. It is healing. It is also grateful for the 53 years that we got to be together. 

The pain is no longer piercing. It is now more of a "longing to see you" type of pain. I know i will see you again, so this soothes the pain. It's just sometimes i need your advise...but i also realized that God Himself gave you all the advise you gave me...so i can go to Him directly. 

I still miss you, mom. I miss you terribly. But now the pain has been replaced with a small seed of hope that i will see you again.

Things are weird here. They just don't seem to be going smooth. A lot of our friendws and family members suffering from problems and deaths. Ledda died last week. I am sure you two are catching up in Heaven.

Hi Mom,

We're doing alright i guess. Carmen and I keep trucking along with our lives, albeit hard at time. I know there are moments when i REALLY need ot talk to you. I cannot begin to imagine how Carmen is feeling given the fact that you two spoke everyday. I knew Carmen was tough, but she has shown through all of this that she is much tougher than me...and i am not ashamed to admit that. Carmen has a true fighting spirit. She got that from you. 

We're both worried about dad. I think reality is creeping up on him and he's beginning to feel that. Other than praying, i don't know how we can help him. He's being his stubborn self. As always.

I had a really rough week last week. I really could have used your words of comfort and your prayers. I fell ill like i have never fallen ill before. I did send out prayer requests to everyone...and i had so many people pray for me...but it is just not the same without you there praying for me. I miss you so much!  :-(

Well, it's been 4 months since you went to be with the Lord.  It is not getting easier to live without you around. It's different, but not easier. The boys will burst out in tears from time to time because they remember you...especially little Silas. Poor kid really misses you at times. Well, we all do. I am trying to carry your torch, but it's not easy...but i will try my best.

How i wish i could talk to you right now. I also need your prayer help. Things are challenging at the moment and i could use your prayer....and you are not here. Sometimes i feel like this whole thing has been unfair. Today is one of those days that i am sad and heartbroken that you were taken from me. It is unfair. 

But...i know you are at peace, pain-free, joyful and happy because you are with Jesus...which is waht you always wanted. I am sorry that i am being selfish. I just miss you, though. It hurts.

Di,  I was saddened t learn of Hilda's passing from Fernando Candelario.  Like her husband, she was a gracious lady and wonderful example for us all.  The world can never have too many Nilda and Dis.  I join all your friends in sending my sincere condolences.

Nildita: I will miss you very much. In the last few years I didn't get a chance to see you. I want to say thank you to God for putting you in my life. You were like a second mom to me. You helped me so much while I was missing my own mother during my time trying to get pregnant, after having Lucas and the hard parts of that and not having my mom to advice me on things. You were there and you would tell me to be patient, to enjoy it and God always has a plan. Thank you for your support always. Thank you for sharing your stories with me and your laughs. I still owed you a lunch. You are an angel 😇. Te quiero mucho. I hope you knew how grateful I am to have had you in my life.

I am very saddened by Nilda’s passing. I remember her and her sister as two beautiful and bubbly young teenagers in their school uniforms when they lived with their Mom behind by grandmother’s house in San Lorenzo, PR. And Diader was like a brother to my two brothers and me. My mom loved Diader and Nilda dearly. And she particularly enjoyed Diader’s visits when he lived and worked in PR. Nilda was a very special woman indeed, always positive, caring, and dedicated to Diader and their family. Nilda and I always traded Christmas cards; a rare custom these days. My deep condolences to Diader and family. May God bless her soul and bring some consolation and peace to Diader. Abrazos (hugs), Jacob Lozada

My heart breaks for the Rosario family. I'm sure that many feel the same in regards to not being able to find the nicest most perfect words to use to explain the mother, wife, sister, friend Mrs. Rosario was to many. In my teens, I had never met a mother like Mrs. Rosario... she was a stay at home mom that was so caring and loving and also so strong at the same time. My most loving memories are the car rides home after school where she'd pick us up, ask about our day, we'd go back to Carmen's and she would make us toasted bagel sandwiches with Boar's head meat and cheese! (that was fancy) and we'd watch the rest of the afternoon Soap Opera before I went home. Such simple things, but I'll always remember that made with love feeling and a sense of being safe in their home. It is so sad that she left this world as early as she did as she had so much more love to give to all that know and love her. Sincerest condolences. Prayers to the family for healing and finding peace in loving memories. Holly Sell

Nilda lived across the street from my family growing up. Hamby place was like a family in and of itself, and Nilda was no exception. My grandmothers didn’t live close by, and having Nilda next door filled that hole for my siblings and I. Every time we’d go visit and knock on her door; which was often, she’d welcome us inside - no matter how dirty or annoying we must’ve been- and she’d give us candy! Every single time. Without fail. As an adult now, I’m sure she kept it on hand just for us. How special is that? 
 Her warm hugs and welcoming smiles will forever hold a spot in my most fond childhood memories. Years later, she attended my baby showers and my wedding and even though we haven’t connected in a number of years, she will always be family to me. My grandmother in Georgia. 
My condolences to her husband Dee and her children as I’m sure this loss is immeasurable, but I also know her memory and the beautiful life she led was very well lived. She left a mark, without a doubt! I’ll miss you so much Nilda but I’m confident you’re at peace and giving out treats in heaven!

Dear Diader & Family:

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved cousin Nilda.   

I am grateful for her presence and influence in my life, the advise, wisdom shared, the laughter and funny stories she shared and most of all, her devotion to family.   I know that she is with Titi Juana, Paquita, Elsie, Aloidia,  and my beloved Abuela Gani.   I can only imagine their reunion in heaven and God asking them to keep the noise down.   

My condolences to you Diader, your children (Carmen y Diader Jr.), Zairita and the Gordian family.   May you find comfort in god, the love of family, friends and all of the beautiful memories shared with your lovely wife.

Di, J was so sorry to see that you had lost Nilda. We all went back a long time together and I know that you miss her. Hang in there buddy we’re all thinking about you and I’m sure thinking about some of the good times we had a long time ago all the best skip brandon.

I first met Nilda when her son, Dee, was a student of mine.  I later caught up with her at church.   We became friends and talked to each other every Sunday, and got our hugs!!  I am heartbroken that I can’t do that anymore but I have faith that I will see her again in heaven.  I pray comfort and peace to the family.  I definitely will miss her here.

Prayers for the family.  Nilda was an amazing woman and a very special friend.  She will be missed.

Nilda was an example of a real devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I meet Nilda in Colinas Verdes, she was  our neighbor and sister in Christ. My fondest memories of her are when I witnessed her powerful skills as prayer warrior and Christ servant. My conviction on the forces of evil and the power of Christ over them got emblemed in my mind and spirit til this day. She among other women including my mother Leticia Serrano and Josefins Aguilar  used to go to people in need of deliverance and after they pray for them people got free. What a remarkable job! She  also taught me few very valuable shopping tips that I still use today for which I am always grateful. During the last years Nilda was part of my social media pages and she maintained a regular interaction with me and my family! Everybody in my household knew her even though  they never personally ever meet her! She complimented us, supported us, made of laugh with her savvy comments and prayed for us all through Facebook and Messeger! She will be missed…in many ways and I will cherish her impactful legacy until we see each other again. Big hug to all the family.

Nilda was such a sweet lady and always made me feel welcome in class. You will be truly missed!!
