Mr. Kenneth Edward Morris Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Edward Morris, Sr., age 69 of Rockmart, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 20, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. Interment will take place at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

Born in Cumberland, KY., Mr. Morris was a Heavy Equipment Operator most of his life. He served in the Air Force at Shemya, Alaska from 1960-1964. A family man who loved his grandchildren, Mr. Morris moved from Florida to Georgia 12 years ago to be closer to them. He attended Berea College and the Florida Bible Institute. A lover of any and all water activities including boating and fishing, he was also an avid reader who especially enjoyed reading about history. Loved for his sharp wit and quick smile, Mr. Morris was a devoted friend, father, and grandfather.

8 siblings – Mildred Taylor of Alexandria, VA; Luther Morris of Bonita Springs, FL; Wilma Gibson of Paris, KY; Raymond Morris of Cartersville, GA; Delores Davis of Alexandria, VA; Patricia Scopa of Cumberland, KY; Brenda Morris of Cumberland, KY; and Eddie Morris of Morristown, TN.

6 grandchildren – Tasha Morris, Stephanie Morris, Grayson Morgan, Rhys Morgan, Weston Morgan, and Benjamin Martin.
